I saw a hundred
Arguments turn into
Silent rose gardens
Women and men
Who were frightened
Of their own innocence
Seeded the sound
Of hourglasses
With falling grains of sand
And did handstands
Along the shoreline
Of imminent oblivion
Until they could
Take the time necessary
To fully live again
