I know that it’s tough
‘Cuz they give you guff
Growing up is rough
But you are enough
Believe when I say
It will be okay
You’ll look back one day
When you’ve made headway

So let them spoof
Don’t be aloof
You’ll discover the truth
That you are the proof
And so pay heed
Oh yes indeed
One day you’ll succeed
You’re all that you need

I thought that you knew
Despite what they do
Or put you through
It’s all up to you
You are the actor
The determining factor
Instead of the reactor
Be the compactor

Let ‘em say their stuff
Don’t be a cream puff
Or stay handcuffed
You are enough
So take it from me
One day you’ll see
That your destiny
Will set you free
