It’s the secrets
That are the
Life changers
No one tries to hide
Things that don’t move
No one tries to cover things
That always look the same
It’s the secrets that
Fold us into little shapes
Bend us into palm sized pieces
Of origami
Then open us back up
Until we are full of creases that
weren’t there before
It’s the secrets that
Cut us full of little holes
That pull apart our edges
Until we are
A string of paper snowflakes
Hanging in the window
Letting the light shine through the
Empty parts of us
The secrets change our composition
They melt us down until
We are liquid
And then pour us through
The cracks
In our story
