innocence
from innocence
to what a mess
who would have thought
who could have guessed
the worst in life
would pile this high
with troubles that
some people find
you can choose
to win or lose
what you do
is up to you
take the hate
as your fate
or learn in love
to give away
giving innocense
a second chance
this side of life
hand in the dance
those who know
can't help but grow
past the past
into the hope
and overcome
the trash that's thrown
at the innocence
of the young
till there's no secrets that
are ever kept
when it comes to
young innocence
Wrote this for a friend who has been abused by multiple men her entire life... She's now on the right path to freedom.
