Mar 2013
if you look too closely at something
for too much time
the lines and details begin
to bend and blur
into inconstant fragility
and if you avoid looking at something
it becomes so large,
so all encompassing
that it takes over your life
people need to learn to walk the edge
of observation,
reflection,
introspection,
to see things for what they really are
we are always too caught up
or too naive
we never just see things
as just things
