We are candid canopies
Of unconscious iconographies
We return to our surpluses and supply rooms
In between breaks I take your photograph
We laugh at our mistakes all day
Water is our father
It contains the seeds of reason
And carries our souls back to the source
I can’t complain when you don’t know my name
It's the same story over and over again
You are the captain and we are the crew
We will follow this through to the end
You will one day finish all my sentences
But I still don’t understand
Why it needs to be this hard
In order to discard my vices
You discouraged all my virtues
As long as I am your slave
You say i won’t ever know the pain of love
But I say come as you are
For this fire is given freely to all beings
And you can see your destiny inside the flames
Falling angels cast their fortunes upon the sand
While we land in our shadows
And shake our shoulders loudly
In order to make our self
Feel a little taller than yesterday
