Mere Appearance
I thought I saw an ocean
at the bottom of the hill
I set my self in motion
hoping for a thrill
Board in hand
and supercharged
but instead of waves and sand
a mirage
Mired in confusion
wrapped in illusion
Mind dynamite
itβs all finite
A straw between my teeth
I made no sense
I needed to concede
my innocence
No shades of grey
My mind was blown
and I had to abdicate
my throne
