In the Provence village of
Lacoste (nothing to do with
the clothing brand) there was
a Flour Miller on the plateau
behind Chateau de Sade, now
owned by Monsieur Pierre Cardin
the Parisian couturier.

In 1889, Louis Malachier, walked
from Lacoste to Paris (and back)
to see the unveiling of La Tour Eiffel.

According to a local historian, it was
tantamount to treason, leaving the
helm of his windmill and not producing
farine pour des baguettes.

distance 804 Kilometers
as the crow flies. Back then
it was a lot longer.
