Down by home where
the countryside shines
through the fields and
tall trees, the breeze
blowing in heavenly
bliss, my heart was
searching for the right
words to say to you,
to let you know that
a part of me was falling
in love with you, and as
much as I tried to deaden
the thoughts, I could see
your beautiful depiction
facing me – your hazelnut
eyes full of lustrous hues,
vast oceans gleaming beyond
your bushy eyebrows, the moonlight
drifting over your diamond design
into the shadowy streets
and your bright arched nose
reminding me of sloping hills,
flowery gardens glowing
in the distance, lovely butterflies
hovering over blooms, smelling
their enchanting fragrance.
I wanted to share my world
with you, to be within your realm
and feel the earth’s essence
encompassing our grand kingdoms,
our eternal love transcending time,
the spotlights all around our ebony
magic, our bodies caught up in the
rapturous waves of each other,
sparking flames so bright
in the cityscape for everyone
to gaze at and admire
our passionate romance.
