When my parents separated I didn't talk to anyone for a year
I was 7 years old
When I raised my hand to speak
Everybody listened
When my sister told us she was dead
We were supposed to attend a piano recital
Instead we attended her funeral
I decided
This was not the family I want to belong to
I wore a **** black dress at the wake to set myself apart
