My heart thunders in my ears
As I rise up and away
Gloriously far from all my fears
To face a radiant new day

Alongside the sun and stars
Up here is where I know
Freedom isn't that far
From where I dance in the gods' meadow

The sky is luminous and I am bright
High above the world I left behind
While some weep and others fight
I've found peace in my mind

Outlined with angelic light
Untainted by the evils' spite
My universe will not forever last
But for now it's the future and not the past
