Jul 2019
Time has passed
The wound has begun to heal
No longer tender to touch
The memories of the pain you caused
Are no longer fresh
But the way you made me
Throw my head back and laugh
Now that, I can still feel
That rush
Don’t do it
I warn myself
You know what will happen
Burn.
But I cant keep away from your intoxicating tone
The way you spin your words and make them dance into my ears
You sound like the longest day of summer
Hopeful and bright.
I know better
I know it will burn me
But I can’t keep my eyes from the fire that is you
