Golden Days
Children, today is blessed.
Many of us can truthfully admit this.
They couldn't handle the golden days.
Discipline was a tool to learn the hard way.
A broom just didn't swipe.
A hand just didn't wave.
Our mouth after a second hardly had anything to say.
A cord just didn't a plugin.
A tree required us to get the biggest tree limb.
Get a small if you want.
Yes, children are blessed?
More than they know or aware.
They just couldn't handle those golden days.
Act up in church, if you chose.
This is another lesson taught like discipline to you.
So, some don't spank.
Which many understand.
But ask those older about today society.
And you see many wishing for the golden days.
