The darker the sunshine
The brighter the abyss,
She is that flower
You can see
Just past
The fence
You can't cross,
She is the song
You can hear
Just past
The door
You can't open,
She is the breeze
You can feel
Just past
The open window
With the bars you can't escape,
She is the leftover batter
On the beaters
From that cake
You can smell
But you'll never eat,
As she escapes you
Nearly within reach
A mirage you know
Is just a sundown
Away from being real,
Because she is the love
You can almost taste
Past the words you write
About your devotion to her...
