Final Battle
There are such tears of battle fought in gain
Torn from the weary eyes
From hearts ensnared in unrequited love
That will never die
Pangs of anguish strike a chord
With notes that ring off key
Each time the heart returns to battle
To try again to be
Now battle-scarred and weary worn
Not sure of how to mend
Still the heart returns each time for more
Goes on fighting βtil the end
What fine glory found in battle fair
With hearts of equal measure
That meet and duel on common ground
And win their final treasure
