When my son left me,
I knew it was for a reason.
Life with my daughter-in-law would have seeped in clashes and war of words.
We are both stubborn and set in our ways,
We would always agree to disagree.
He was in my arms as a child,
Now, he is in her arms,
Above all, God wanted me to live a happy life in peace and dignity
After all distance makes the heart grow fonder and gain respect.
One thing I regret though,
I don't get to see my grandchildren grow up.
