Gleaning the garden
for the leftovers
is like gleaning
the whole world
for the fruits
to the tree of life.
To survive in
this down world
is a fight
of the fittest.
To ask the
lions to be
fair and have
pity on the
gazelle means
starvation for the
whole pride.
It is in
the natural order
of things
to survive by
any means necessary.
To accuse
the cow of
eating the grass
means death.
To accuse
man of eating
vegetables means
extinction of mankind.
To survive,
something must die
for you to live.
Everything you consume
must die
to give you life.
To ask the
whales to stop
soiling and drinking
All the waters
just because
you are thirsty
or to stop
messing up the oceans
because of you
is really laughable.
Everything created has
their place in
the natural scheme
of things
including you.
As something are
meal for you,
even so you
will someday
become a
meal for something.
And the circle
continues.
