this white and yellow flower,
a wonder of spring,
given the name of a man,
who was no such thing.
a handsome young man,
a gladiator of greece,
who thought he was the best,
a person could be.
though they both are beautiful,
they share a name to remind,
that beauty is nothing,
if it’s not inside.
