I sang a song for you
One with a familiar tune;
I sit alone in my room
Waiting for the clock to hit noon.
Is it wrong to wish I could belong
To the place where you could hear my song?
I imagine your smile
As is it would be if you listened for awhile;
But alas you are gone
And I have withdrawn.
I wait for the day I can see your face,
And I look forward to your embrace.
