What happened to the dream
Was it always the plan
To pit Conservatives
Against the working man
Have mortgage foreclosures
All across the land
And no one wants to give
The poor a helping hand

They say that they’re Christians
Who believe in Jesus Christ
So how come they refuse
To take his sage advice
They can have the pie
We just want a slice
Yet they refuse to do that
Ya see they don’t play nice

The powers that be
Thought the movement had died
With Zucotti Park
But someone must have lied
Cos the people united
Cannot be defeated
They can try to fight it
But they’re gonna be unseated

What kind of future
Do we want or need
One that puts a suture
On avarice and greed
The majority will lose
If only the few succeed
In having their way
While the rest of us bleed
