I'm Just a Work in Progress
I'm just a work in progress.
Be patient with me please
As I continue to grow
Into who I'm meant to be.
I can't ever promise perfection.
But I hope that you can see,
My struggle for forward motion
And improvement will not cease.
It's quite possible you're a painting
That's still not yet complete.
Do not worry; do not fret my dear;
One day you'll find the missing piece.
Maybe we can help each other
On this journey towards our full selves.
For I believe that when I started searching,
I found you as well.
It is in this same manner
That I pray we will remain-
Growing fully into ourselves,
And in each other's hearts the same.
I am a work in progress.
It's not a bad place to be.
For you're not finished either,
And you'll journey through this with me.
