I spy with my little eye
Some something..
It flickered by me
Like a butterfly on acid
All fluttery and buttery
Slip sliding away
Not sure what I saw
But it left me with
The feeling that
Everything is transitory
Ravens wings couldn't
Be more beautiful
Than what it was that
Just flew by
Drew my attention
And then it was gone
Quick as jam and scone
To a hungry man
Next time I will have
My net on the table
And I will catch it
Before it's able to
Fly away
Scrutinize it's wings
And see if it sings
Won't cage it I promise
But I will catch it
And let it go again
For the sake of curiosity.
