By: Cedric McClester

She was the apple
Of her dad’s eye
Now he’s left to wonder
The reason why
‘Cuz he didn’t know
When she told him goodbye
It would be the last time
He’d see her alive

I don’t think it’s fair
That she isn’t here
Cuz the pain was
Too much for her to bare
Her loved ones stare
Lookin’ out at nowhere
Becuz’ of their grief
And inward despair

Her mom misses her
Every moment of the day
And thinks of the circumstances
That took her away
Her school knew about it
But they didn’t say
Although at her funeral
They sent a bouquet

She lived with the teasing
Bullying and pain
Though she had a hard time
Tryna explain
The tortured thoughts
That ran through her brain
Until she jumped
And downward she came
