If you seek for God
The result is very clear
You seek but never find
God is neither there nor here

Although you cannot find
Do not become depressed
Unknowing you proceed
The seeking is the Quest

The quest it never ends
The road goes ever on
Who is like unto God?
Who can fathom the Holy One?

Even St. Thomas Aquinas
Angelic Doctor in Paris
Believed we know only that
But never what God truly is

Just before he died
He broke down and something saw
Reginald, he simply said,
All my writing seems as straw

Compared to what I've seen
And what God has revealed to me
I shall write no more
Then he died into eternity

In this curious tale
I find wonder quite profound
For if even the Dumb Ox God silences
When I'm lost, I too am found

St. Thomas ends in silence
And in silence I begin
Step closer, listen deeply
The Door is open, please come in.
