I think the most
painful apology
spoken there is
Is an apology
left unsaid
by someone
you thought who
was
sorry enough to
own up to their mistakes
Oblivious that they
did you wrong
in the first place
And you owe it
to yourself
to forgive
not to forget but to
mend whatever’s
broken in you
