Don’t Be That Guy

I used to have a thing for you
With hair jet black and eyes of blue
I may have had a drink or two
What was it that you said I’d do?
I can’t remember, but hope is here
As we circle around the hemisphere
Don’t be that guy, don’t be that dude
You’ve got it wrong
He’s black and blue
Nothing could be done, just gloom
He had to go and be rescued
Instead I feel complacent and completely Misconstrued
