We try to sleep,
Through the night,
All the while the stars and moon weep.
They cry for the sun,
The warmth of its glow,
But behind the shadow of the earth it has run.
For day and night,
Just like death and life
Is dark and bright,
Locked into its battle,
The eternal fight.
We have within us,
Something special to see,
The light within you,
Is the same as in me.
We are all creations,
Of love and life,
We are all in the shadow of the the dark of night.
We witness the struggle,
The never ending chase,
As the light gives in,
The darkness makes way.
It takes a hold,
It creates a space,
We are all part of the struggle,
The eternal race.
