If some poems were bridges,
let us assume suspension, just
as an example, the safety factor
of 9 (which is the code for such)
would need to be increased.

By increasing the safety factor,
the bridge would need to be made
stronger and heavier, thus defeating
the factor as the supports would be
under too much pressure due to length.

Since the collapse of the Bridge in Genoa,
I am conscious of these structures even as
I pass under them. Poems can be just as
daunting, especially long winded ones which
I never read and I never write due to attention span.
