wants to be bigger

a sprawling decadence
growing

an underground
stream of liquid

a meandering
sweet poison

a circus
with freaks

pressing forward
creating a vein

dripping
melted sugar

candy
like
yams

swelling
the tongue

expanding taste
so it presses

against both sight
and sound

and suddenly the
three senses
become one

and I know things
I wasn’t supposed to
