It was a bit
wasn't it?
but
only slightly so
and as wet days go,
not bad at all,

I didn't trip up
didn't fall
did not hear the
muezzin call,

(which is quite unusual
as I go past the mosque)

Tomorrow,
they tell me
will be
hotter than hell,
well,
we won't believe it
until we see it
or
possibly just a little
bit,
hoping that it's true.

I think they're having me on
'taking the Michael '
even though my name's
John.

And they are who they've always been,
pulling the strings as they torture the dream.

I'm nearly there
and that thought bubble pops as
it rises.
