I woke up this morning thinking that I will hate you.
I tried to find some flaws in your being,
Some irregularity in your skin,
Some impurity in your heart,
But what I found instead were my own faults.

I woke up this morning thinking that I will not remember you.
I tried to erode the memories of your essence,
The feel of your skin,
The scent of your body,
But what I did instead is re-live all the happy memories.

I woke up this morning thinking that I will be better off without you.
I tried to immerse myself in new groups,
To find someone new,
To find someone beautiful,
But what I did instead was look for you in others.

I woke up the following morning thinking that I will hate you…
