All I can hope for is that it becomes easier
Over time
To coexist in the new found silence
And empty space
Where you used to be.

You never fully took that space up
But I provided it for you nonetheless
And it reminds me of why I was so down
To figure it out before and before.

I wonder if you feel the same kind of
Tragic pain
Whenever you see my name
My face, my work
My moments of success.

It's like sometimes I'm caught up in a minor hurricane
In the icy Chicago wind
Just trying to move through
And on.
