FOSSILS

We’ll all be fossils soon.
Maybe before another new-
   moon.
Before too-long & very-soon.
Surely at our approaching
   doom.
We’ll leave narrow-rooms.
To enter even narrower-
   tombs.
Eternal dark & quiet await.
It’s a dalliance that we just
can’t shake nor even can fake.
   At all those weepy-wakes.
