Poems
Mar 2019
war
she stood by the ocean,
staring out into the distance,
to see beyond the jet black waves.
a hand came from the ocean,
and without warning,
it pulled her under,
into a war.
this was a war,
and she was fighting it,
there was no tie,
you win,
or you die.
this was a war,
and she was losing herself,
she was screaming,
but no one heard her.
this was a war,
she was in a pitch black ocean,
no one was there to help her swim,
and she had lost herself in the waves.
