If I told the story of what happened here
and you went next
people would think we were talking about two different events

I just wanted you to need me
and then I let that get so big that
I needed you so bad I lost it

I still crave you
even if that craving comes
with a good dose of hating myself

I know
you want to pretend like it never happened
and you jump if I get close

So what if we never were physically intimate
I have not ever in my life had eye contact
as intense as that
