I am in love with a shadow I can never see.......she hides in corners where I could never be
In the darkness I can see the light.....when I finally reach I can barely see it gets so bright
The haunting memories of those days gone past.......you would not believe but the time it goes so fast
As I search for her shadow the plight will never end.........just tell her that my love I send
The sun never shines on me anymore......it's always dark when I go out the door
Like the groundhog I wait to see her shadow to know if the sun will shine......forever the search but....I never whine
I know the shadow will soon appear.......then the sun will so don't you fear
One day hopefully before I am old and grey......that smile on my face will reappear someday
