I have searched within
looked in all the secret places
slashed a mindcheck and cut veins
I have floundered beneath my eyelids
and even scraped the gorges in fingernails
But I see nothing, I have no sight of this thing
So please tell me Wisdom, what does Hate look like

I know none to ask in Solace
the music in my heart had no answer
the Choristers in my garden remain nonplussed
and the nightingales sing sweetly and shake their heads
the meandering brook goggles serenely and without a break
and roses in eternal summer bloom sway gently and make quiet
So please tell me Neptune and Aphrodite what does Hate look like

I look down at the restful earth
In grounded majestic hues of varying shades stays mute
the tall Pines bends towards the Willows and says 'ask them'
for there are weeping Willows, but alas! the willows knows not
breezes whispering from vespers and dales deemed not even a clue
though all about and everywhere, the winds howl but shed no light
So please tell me from blue yonder afar, what does Hate look like

I have heard a merry lot about it
have seen some who seem to know all about it
could tell that all's not well within and they have spirits dark
in talks incomprehensible, skewed and in remiss of passions lights
within me I carefully searched again, looked in my soul and being
I have flaws 'n human as all else but have never met this thing Hate
So please scholars and scribes, do tell me, what does Hate look like
