There are gaps that must be crossed
Whether or not you have a bridge;
Sometimes caution must be tossed
Along with yourself, over the ridge.
Of course the fall seems oh so grand,
But one thing still is grander -
To take the leap, and make the leap,
On top of that, to land her.
Safe to say that you must dare
To reach the place of your desire;
Jump so bold, without a care
And in your soul will light a fire,
Burning bright and fueled with passion.
Nothing dreams to stop a man,
Who, with spirit drawn to action,
Takes the leap, and knows he can.
