This girl I know
Once wrote a poem
The only thing it said
Was the one word "YES"

She takes walks at night
Under dim starlight
Believes the twinkling
Is their way of speaking

Likes to give a toast
Everywhere she goes
Here's to happiness
May it never rest

Has a pet rock she keeps
From the 70's
Never once did say
If it had a name

She packs a bag each day
Figures just in case
She needs to hit the road
Some days you never know

Has a small disco ball
She brings along
If just by chance
Life strikes up the band

Blows on dandelions
Hoping to find
Wishes do come true
And good times never lose

She has a Siamese cat  
That makes her laugh
But in the back of her mind knows the world outside
Has a cure for that
