In the

morning when

I first

open my

eyes,

could I

once see

your calico

smile

before me.

gift of

a gypsy

your eyes

the depth

of an ocean

still.

I sit

before you

writing these

poems to

you

as  a debt

that I owe

to you.

words for

you to live

by,

in all of

my dreams

that surround

you.

and the things

that you

have loaned

me are

simply

these words

to you

that I write.

in comfort

for your

solitude a

blanket to

wrap around

your head

and heart..

and in

the redemption

of all

things tender

and righteous

your jelly

bean smile

graces me

and suddenly

the universe

is a beautiful

place.....
