when America is no more
the sinking sun has set

what will the future remember?
and what will they forget?

the foreign wars and violence
will be seen as horror story

not freedom, not democracy
not George W. or the Donald in glory

the racism and greed
will also be cast down

no future folk will wish
to renew that in their town

the lack of decency
or respect for others

will also go the way
which cannot be recovered

so what then will they recall
these people of 3739?
