I can hear him coming in the silence
For the silence signals his arrival
When everything withdraws
I start waiting for the crash
And the overwhelming
Feeling of losing
Control over
Everything
In my
body.

And
Then he
Comes down
Hard, crashing
Destroying everything
In his path and I can’t stop
Him no matter how hard I try
And he’s leaking through my eyes
On to my shirt and bed and pillow and
His insatiable lust to destroy is briefly relieved.
