Thank God for darkness
Shallow water is a lifesaver
Bathtubs filled with vinegar
Hunting parties leave at dawn
They return with soda and cigarettes
And limitless regrets
Totalitarian regimes
Festering in your subconscious
I am allotted one apple per day
And dance on the way to your funeral
Look into the eyes of darkness
