Can you see it?
The hourglass.
It sits three feet away.

Can you hear it?
The sand.
Pouring faster, day by day.

Can you feel it?
In your bones.
That slow, creeping ache.

Can you name it?
On your tongue,
That bitter, metallic taste.

Iron... Iron...
Iron, from your blood.
Iron... Iron...
Iron, swords and clubs.

They tear down the castles
Like you tore down my heart;

Can you taste it?
Can you feel it?
As I rip your dreams apart.
