the carousel never stops turning
all we are is a collection of cells and regret

this town feels far away from me now
i thought that if i could stand here in the middle of it
i would remember who i used to be

it breaks my heart can you hear it shattering
i can't find a way off this ride
it never stops turning, never slows down

it's like i was so afraid of growing up
i didn't realize i already had
