I step behind you,
stumble over rocks and   someone's lives.
but you don't turn around.
perhaps you are long gone in this universe.
a star, that died millions of years ago, but still pierces the thick blackness.
is somebody listening?
it's too quiet out here.
explode with noise.
you walk ahead swiftly-
I can't keep up.
Froze like a popsicle in summer sun,
dripping down.
i only walk where you were,
only am what you've been long ago,
only breathe what you exhaled.
am I the already non-existant star,
the light of which still lingers in the air?
