I'm Freezing
I know it's winter,
but it feels so cold.
It's a different kind of cold.
The kind that grips
your heart
and never lets go.
The kind that swallows
you as you lay awake at 3am.
The kind that slowly
washes over you
and breaks your soul.
And I wonder if it's
because I've been left
without the warmth
of your heart.
