Illusory Free
Though I've seen better days,
today is all I have.
Tomorrow is not mine
till I walk through that door.
With every breath I take
I must let it go.
Today holds only what you choose,
not what you've chosen before.
I use to be afraid,
to take a path unknown.
Born into their faith,
I worshiped in their yesterways.
I judged with outdated eyes,
now useless, dead and blind.
I see no flawed nor broken now,
all clear of that ancient haze.
