Put you together
Piece by piece,
Tape, velcro, glue
Whatever it took,
Labor of love
Labor of time,
You came together
A bit askew
A bit disheveled,
Beautiful music box
One of a kind,
Oh how your tune played,
Wound you up
Over and over again,
Slowly filled the cracks
The rough edges,
Actions my resin
Words my polish,
Buffed out till you shone
I wound you up
Not for myself,
I wound you up
So you could play away,
I wound you up
So you won't ever
Need to be wound up again,
Not by any other
Than yourself,
Let the world gaze upon you
Let the world listen to your melody...
