Jan 2019
it's all wrung out now
this life
this day

M teed
of what flowed
hard
in these veins
dry pumping

of a past life
grinding
away
at your
wishes

may as
well
do the dishes
makes as much
headway

and you
read in
on to this frame
a need to connect
to the mystery
you feel

be-neeth
be-low
be-still
be

against this hot blade
against the dissolving time
sleep against a sharp knife

this blade of time
it makes us numb
scores on our
forgetfulness
and that
is ok

this vein
winding
quietly
finds me
nurtures me with the feel
of alright
